Severe Cognitive Impairment (SCI) classroom teachers help students become as independent and productive as possible. Students learn daily living skills and motor skills, how to get along with others, leisure and basic job skills. Since many students are not verbal, alternate methods of communication are used, such as AAC devices, signing and picture schedules.
